Top 10 best paying country for Google AdSense

As you can see from Page RPM (revenue per thousand impressions) column, United States is the highest paying Page RPM country in my top 10 estimated earnings. Follow by Malaysia which has almost the same page views amount but with much lesser Page RPM. Even United Kingdom and Australia’s Page RPM is higher than Malaysia. In order to earn more from Google AdSense, I should write articles based on countries like United States, Australia and United Kingdom. Rather than Malaysia. And definitely won’t focus on India’s topics because it has the lowest Page RPM.

What is your highest paying country in Google AdSense?

I mentioned that Western Union rate is based on Google AdSense payment date previously. I can double confirm it again. I just withdrew 2 Google AdSense payments by using Western Union service through RHB Bank. Both of them have different rate.

Err… USD is getting weaker again. I got RM 2321.19 for USD 771.77 (May) and RM 2292.66 for USD 781.13 (June). I should get higher earning in RM for June earning but in other way round due to weaker USD currency rate.

By the way, you need to withdraw Google AdSense earning from Western Union within 60 days. Else the payment will revert back to Google and your future Google AdSense payment will be on hold. Do remember that.

How is your Google AdSense earning nowadays?

Have you started to use Google AdSense new interface? If you don’t, it’s time to do so. There is lot of goodies there to explore. Just discovered ad types’ performance report there. And turned out that Google is telling the truth all the while ~ publishing text & image / rich media ads are better then text ads only.

Note – Page revenue per thousand impressions (RPM) is calculated by dividing your estimated earnings by the number of page views you received, then multiplying by 1000.

Based on the data above, clearly that text is the lowest performance ad type. As expected, the highest is rich media ad type, follow by animated image ad type then image ad type. Surprisingly, flash ad type does not perform well here.

As a conclusion, do publish both text and image / rich media ad types.

Google keeps telling us that Medium Rectangle (300 x 250) is the best ad format among all. Do you agree with that? For the past 3 years of blogging, Large Rectangle (336×280) was the one that I placed on my blogs. Why? I read lot of websites state that it attracts more clicks which turn into more revenue. I believed in them blindly since Google AdSense is all about CPC, right?

Medium Rectangle (300 x 250) with 3 ads

Based on Google, “By opting all of your units into text and image ads, you are increasing the competition among the ads competing to appear on your site, as both test and rich media ads (image, flash, video and gadget) will compete in the same ad auction to appear on your site. Our system will always automatically display the ads which will yield the highest earnings for you.”

Based on my experiment for past 2 weeks, Large Rectangle (336×280) does attract more click. But higher click rate does not mean that you will have higher return in revenue. Medium Rectangle (300 x 250) works better as advertisers prefer this format and competition increases the ads price. In return, I have higher Page eCPM with Medium Rectangle compare to Large Rectangle which have more clicks.

As I told before, never stop trying and testing Google AdSense until you get the best earning for you. Google AdSense does not perform the same on every website. Therefore, you need to find out the one that match your website. So far, I managed to find out that publishing both text and images ads are better. And Medium Rectangle is performing better than Large Rectangle in my case. How about yours?
