Site Requirements
The first thing before publish ad for any company, you need to fulfill their requirements. Only JayceOoi.com qualified to publish Innity ads while spBlogger.com and PrettyGirl2u.com failed. On the other hand, Nuffnang accepted all 3 of them. Nuffnang requires minimum 600 unique visitors per month. Innity requires minimum 3,000 unique visitors and 15,000 Pageviews per month, quality content and updated frequently.

Nuffnang has 3 ad types (Leaderboard, large rectangle and skyscraper) while Innity has a lot like site take over, bottom up, in-text, balloon, button banner… Both of them support CPM and CPC ads while Innity has extra CPE and CPA. In Nuffnang, you have the ability to select what type of ads to display. Choose to display charity ads, default ads, global CPC ads or minimize ads when there is no CPM campaign running. Innity has better ad system ~ Alternate Ad Management which allow you to publish other advertising company ads like Google AdSense, ADSDAQ as backup when there are no campaign assigned. You can also reject those low paying rate campaigns with Innity latest Manage Campaign function. Nuffnang lost this section because it will still display a small ‘ads by nuffnang’ image when no campaign assigned.

Yeah… Everyone loves payment time. Both of Nuffnang and Innity have RM50 minimum cash out limit and paid within 30 days (note – 30 days for Nuffnang Glitterati bloggers while 60 days for ordinary bloggers). Both of them pay in cheque while you can get direct bank in payment from Innity. Nuffnang charges RM 1 transaction fee on each cash out. And you need to request cash out manually while Innity in auto mode. I received lot of payments from Nuffnang and none of them delay but the first Innity payment delayed. Too bad that Innity delayed the 1st payment. Not sure 2nd payment will be delayed again or not. Else I have a clear winner.

Got a question to ask? But nobody answer it? I faced slow response from Innity. But their support improves from time to time. No issue from Nuffnang so far.

Revenue
The most important part of this article ~ advertising revenue. Based on my past 3 months Internet income, Innity bought RM1222.25 while Nuffnang gave me RM1044.21. Note – Innity income comes from 1 blog only while Nuffnang from 3 blogs. And JayceOoi.com contributes 85% traffic among total 3 of them. Therefore, you need to minus 15% out of Nuffnang revenue in order to compare fairly with Innity. Clearly, you should know who is the winner here…

Things to know
I am a Glitterati status blogger for more than 2 years and still am on the time of writing this. Nuffnang revenue will be lowered more than 125% for ordinary status. As Glitterati status blogger, you get higher pay rate and will be assigned more campaign. Nuffnang assigns campaign based on individual blog (if not mistaken). Therefore, some low traffic/visible blogs will not be assigned any campaign to run. As for Innity, JayceOoi.com is categorized as technology channel. Innity assigns campaign based on channel. So you will get the same campaigns assigned if you are in the same channel. No need to worry no campaign assigned.

Conclusion
Innity is the winner. The revenue speaks for itself. As I mention before, this article cover advertising revenue only. Nuffnang community is big and has lot of blogger events. But Innity bring more revenue. Which one should I choose? I leave the question for you to answer.

Hehe… The new Nuffnang Analytics is not perfect. The chart title is always “This Week’s Visits: ” no matter which period you select from today, this week, last week and last month.

March 2008 to February 2009 == 12 hits combo

Google AdSense has 8 hits combo right now. 5 hits more to break Nuffnang record. That’s another 5 months to go.

Hehe… I don’t know when Nuffnang implemented this feature in Innit. Too long did not use Innit because it will attract traffic if your post is interesting. I have 1500% extra hit when using Innit by Nuffnang last time. However, that is the only one that has so many hits. The rest are just below 10 hits.

By the way, in order to use Innit by Nuffnang. You need to be a Glitterati status Nuffnanger. You can earn more with Glitterati status. Lastly, Nuffnang also have a Nuffnang Chatbox in Innit. Welcome to wondering there. But you will hardly see me there.

10th Nuffnang cheque received

By the way, with the 10th Nuffnang cheque received. I will not longer to post any Nuffnang cheque on monthly basis. Will only post the Nuffnang payment that has bigger amount than the previous like the 8th payment ~ RM 733.67. Therefore, no need to worry that Nuffnang does not pay.

I am getting around RM90++ monthly from Nuffnang. My Nuffnang earning dropped since Nuffnang implement Metered Unique Visitor System. I missed those assigned campaign. Nuffnang, can I have more assigned campaign?

The 8th Nuffnang cheque

Hey, why do you withdraw Nuffnang earning every month? I need to keep track how much did I earn for that particular month. Current Nuffnang system does not allow me to do so. So I have to withdraw it every month else I will loss count. Besides, getting cheque every month is good, right?

No more HSBC RM0.50 processing fee

I mentioned that HSBC charged us RM0.50 processing fee on each Nuffnang cheque that we received. It should not charge us in the first place. And now HSBC did not charge me on my 6th Nuffnang cheque onward. Check back my previous Nuffnang cheques to get more information.

In the end, I would like to thanks Nuffnang for taking care of that RM0.50 processing fee for us.

However, getting Advertlets payment is another story. Advertlets CEO, Josh Lim called me last 3 weeks. I told him that my friend did not receive any Advertlets payment after cash out on April 2008. He promised to follow up on this issue. But my friend did not get anything until now. Hmm… What is going on? Do you know?

I was very happy when I received this email. I just noticed that Nuffnang did select to advertise at Make Money website. However, I did not receive any campaign at this blog for quite some time. Hmm… I think that I need to do some marketing on this blog.

However, getting Advertlets cheque is another story. Some of the bloggers did not get any cheque from Advertlets (Updated: Josh Lim called. He said that the case was resolved.) even after the cash out status turned to ‘Sent’. Same applied to my friend. Hmm… She is too lazy to deal with Josh Lim. What to do? Leave it then…

No worry about Nuffnang payment as I already received 6 of them. However, do be careful when dealing with Advertlets. You might get hurt then…

My 5th Nuffnang cheque.

For your information, Nuffnang cheque that I received was RM0.50 less. Why? The bank that Nuffnang uses to send out the cheque, HSBC charges RM0.50 processing fee on each cheque. Therefore, every Nuffnang cheque will be RM1.50 less when cash out @ RM1.00 Nuffnang transaction fee and RM0.50 HSBC processing fee.

Anyway… It is still okay for me. Why? Compare to other local advertising company – Advertlets which delay payment or do not pay at all. Nuffnang is still better even with RM1.50 less on each cheque.

Top in last 24 hours

I managed to be the most popular in last 24 hours time frame when I submitted the famous post – Advertlets.com – Beware of this online advertising company. You need to post something that attracts those Nuffnangers. Else nobody will look at your post at all. Anyway, the purpose that I posted there was to attract Advertlets’ CEO, Josh Lim himself to pay my long awaited cheques. And inform others to beware of Advertlets. Finally, I got my cheques in the end. Thanks to Innit by Nuffnang.

Besides, the website traffic also hit historical high during that time. I have 292 visits on that particular day. Not bad for a new site. For your info, Make Money has around 20 visits per day. 292 visits are almost 1500% more than normal daily hits.

Buffered Earnings and Metered Campaigns

Hmm… My earning dropped after Nuffnang introduced Metered Unique Visitor System. I wish that my Nuffnang earning can overtake Google AdSense earning. Too bad… Its still cannot. Hope that my Nuffnang June earning can pass RM100. My Nuffnang earning was RM189.69 last month.

The earning is almost 125% extra on Nuffnang Glitterati compare to Nuffnang Ordinary (non-exclusive) status. WOW… That’s a lot. However, this might be Nuffnang system bugs too since Metered Unique Visitor System is still new.

Under this new system, more than one advertiser can buy an X number of unique visitors from each blog. All the earnings earned from this new ad system are recorded under “Buffer Earnings” in the Earnings Tab and for this beta stage will be totaled up with the rest of your earnings once every week.

Nuffnang hopes to achieve with this new system:
1) A better distribution of ads to more bloggers.
2) Lower fatigue resulting in better click-through ratios
3) More income since we can now run multiple advertisers on a single ad unit.

With this Metered Unique Visitor System, I did not get a full week Ads from advertiser. I only get some Ads from several advertisers from time to time. And it does not use up all my Ads space most of the time. Therefore, my earning from Nuffnang drop sharply. Oh No…

There are several ways to earn money with Nuffnang. Nuffnang provides 2 Ad types and advertorials. The 2 Ad types are Cost Per Unique Visitor Ads (geo_CPM) and CPC Ads (global_CPC). Below are the descriptions of each type of Ad…

Earnings for Cost Per Unique Visitor Ads (geo_CPM)
They are calculated based on the number of unique visitors to a blog when an ad campaign is being run. Basically, you have to achieve a minimum amount of 20 unique visitors to your blog and maintain that amount in order to be in the running to receive Cost Per Unique Visitor Ads. Then, you can sit back and relax while our advertisers select the blogs on which to run their ad campaigns on. Should you be selected, you will be notified by email based on the type and the duration of the ad campaign.

CPC Ads (global_CPC)
Any blogger registered with Nuffnang is automatically eligible run have CPC Ads. You will be paid each time the ad is clicked on and your earnings will appear at the end of the week.

Advertorials
Advertorials is when a particular blogger is paid to write about an advertiser’s product in his/her blog. The blogger will be paid per post because of its better reach.

geo_CPM is the highest paying Ad at Nuffnang. The pay rate is based on the unique visitor at your blog or Nuffnang’s term – band. For example, visitor from 0 to 50 is counted at band 1. 51 to 100 is counted as band 2. And so on… The higher band you have == the higher pay rate you will get. As I mentioned before, you need to have at least 20 unique visitors per day to entitle to have campaign. My first campaign was on 10 June 2007. And I only earn RM1.50 for that campaign. I managed to get band 11 – RM31.69 for 1 campaign with my current traffic.

global_CPC is the other way to earn while you do not have any campaign running. However, global_CPC is not so performing due to you only gets around RM0.25 per click. You need a lot of clicks to make a lot of money. So better get higher traffic and run campaign.

Besides, make sure that you don’t have any South-East Asia company Ad on your blog. Why? Nuffnang has an exclusive program called – Nuffnang Glitterati. My first cash out was on 29 October 2007 when I reached RM50 (minimum cash out limit). There will be transaction fee of RM1.00 when you cash out. Nuffnang is using HSBC cheque to pay us. HSBC charges RM0.50 for the service and RM0.50 for the foreign cheque. So total up == RM1.00. So far I still did not face any delay of Nuffnang payment. Keep it up, Nuffnang.

After looking at my statement above, you should get a little bit hints about what is happening here. My Nuffnang Membership status turns to Ordinary (non-exclusive) from Glitterati due to putting Advertlets Ad on this Make Money Blog. Aiyo… Now I have to wait for 3 days to have Nuffnang Glitterati status back.

During the time I put up Advertlets Ad, I did not register Make Money Blog at Nuffnang. And I did not put any Nuffnang Ad here too. But the naughty Nuffnang crawler also treats this blog as one of my blogs at Nuffnang even when using sub domain. Therefore, as a conclusion, all my sub domain at JayceOoi.com cannot have other South-East Asia company Ad. I can only serve Nuffnang Ad in this case.

So what did I do? Removed Advertlets Ad of course and register this blog as part of my Nuffnang Blog and put up Nuffnang Ad.
