Will Tanjong PLC split its power and gaming division? Maybank Investment Bank mentioned about splitting the power and gaming will bring more value to Tanjong on 5 November 2009. Tanjong stock price up 44 cents from RM15.38 to RM15.82 that day. Up another 58 cents to RM16.40 the next day (Highest intraday ~ RM16.72).
Tanjong intraday performance on 06 November 2009
Based on the technical research from Maybank Investment Bank on 6 November 2009, Tanjong has 2 upside targets of RM16.70 and RM17.78. Well, Tanjong hit the first upside target easily that day. How about the next one? When can it achieve that? And come to another question, why there are 2 research reports from Maybank Investment Bank about Tanjong in these 2 days. And it brought good news too. Some investors did fall into buying flow. Does it have anything to do with Maxis re-listing? Will Ananda Krishnan split Tanjong into 2 divisions? If Tanjong split, it will not be in FBM KLCI (top 30 stocks) anymore. Will it?
So many questions but no answers…
Every investor always asks this question, ‘keep or sell’. For me, I have no confirmed answer to it too. I set a target price when I buy stock. And I will sell it when the stock hit my target price. However, you might earn less when you sell too early like my Mudajaya case. Or set too high target price like my INTC case. And end up earn nothing.
Tanjong PLC past 2 months performance
I have 2 target prices for Tanjong ~ RM16.02 and RM16.74. The first target price should be easily hit with sudden high volume. But men are greedy. So do I. Should I wait for RM16.74? Or sell it at RM16.02? I don’t want to end up like Mudajaya and INTC cases.
Yeah… It is time for questions and answers. I got several questions regarding make money online. I think it is better to share with all of you.
1. How do you know the Innity ads whether it’s CPM or CPC running on your blog?
Nope. Innity report does not show the type of ads that running on your blog. Innity team will send you email when there is a campaign running on your blog. It maybe CPC, CPM, Site Take Over and others.
2. I found that when I put Nuffnang ads as backup ads in ADSDAQ, the preview is getting some error. The error message say make sure your blog ads is putting correctly. Or because I don’t get any Nuffnang ads while preview.
Make sure you put the correct Nuffnang ad code. For your info, Nuffnang ads only work on the domain that you register with Nuffnang. Therefore, it is okay to see “Error matching blog to blogger entry. If you are the owner of this blog, please check that there is no typo in your blog address and that you have pasted the code from the Add Ads page correctly.” error like below.
3. ADSDAQ, I put the AskPrice for 728X90 = $1.50, and 300X250 = $1.50. Is it too high or too low?
There is no right and wrong on how much AskPrice to set. Personally, $1.50 is the minimum that I set. Some ads are $3.00 and $5.00 for the best Google AdSense spot ~ Large rectangle (Just below article title). ADSDAQ earning depends on US traffic. More US traffic == more revenue.

Yes! My Internet income broke RM 2,000 level finally. Although it is just a spike that cannot maintain, but I am happy with it. Google AdSense was the only one that brought less revenue. CPM Ads did help a lot when traffic increased. Nuffnang and Innity fought very hard and ended Nuffnang won the game in October after loss in September. “Nuffnang vs Innity”, which one will be the winner in the end?

Nuffnang – US$ 160.76 (RM 547.42)
Innity – US$ 157.46 (RM 536.18)
ADSDAQ – US$ 117.04 (RM 398.52)

Innity Performance Network is a bright star (when I get the payment. It delayed September payment. Else I should get it by now. Hopefully, it won’t happen on October payment as well). No payment (or delay payment) makes me thinking of Advertlets. Advertlets is still not paying bloggers nowadays. And getting payment from Advertlets is a tough task. You need to write blog post to ask for your payment like I did. Else you will end up getting nothing.
Remember… More traffic will bring more revenue.
Everybody make mistakes. That’s no a problem. But knowing it and without rectify it. Then it will be a problem. I thought stock market will rally until end of October 2009. However, it did not. Both of the stocks INTC and Tanjong that I target were flat in October. Just like Maybank Investment Bank asked traders to sell on 5 October 2009, a wrong prediction. Anyway, it is hard to predict stock market. And investor should not buy stock based on prediction but on the stock value itself.
INTC October 2009 performance
There are 2 important dates in October for INTC. One is the quarterly report announcement and the second one is employee stock option exchange date. I predicted there will be spike in price on both of the dates. But I was only correct on the first one. And wrong on the other ~ it is good for Intel employees because of the low stock option exchange price. But not for me who want to sell at USD22.50. Hmm… I have to keep it for another 3 months again.
Tanjong PLC October 2009 performance
Same apply to Tanjong PLC. Its 1H net profit increased 10.4% to 372.941 million. And it should be able to climb back to RM16.00 easily. But it failed to do so in October 2009. Luckily, I still have the dividend of 17.5 cents. Else, I will end up earning nothing for October 2009.
