My blogs was hit by Google Panda Update badly last year. 10% traffic dropped when Google Panda first launched at US. Another 20% dropped when rolled out to international. Well, I managed to recover the loss traffic by writing more quality articles. And I did not do much search engine optimization (SEO) on my blogs since then. No traffic performance hit when Google launched another search engine algorithm update – Google Penguin. My blogs was safe until now…

Hit by Google Panda / Penguin Update
Err… Google Panda / Penguin Update did it again. I don’t know it is Google Panda or Google Penguin that is causing the problem. My blog – JayceOoi.com suffered 15% traffic drop. No issue on other 2 blogs – spBlogger.com and PrettyGirl2u.com.

Gain by Google Panda / Penguin Update
There is loss and gain. But the losses are far more than gaining. Lot of pages loss more than 50 to 70% while only a few pages increased. Hmm… How many months to I need to recover from this latest Google Panda / Penguin Update?

Err… My blog ~ JayceOoi.com traffic dropped since February 2011. I thought that it was the mistake that I made by changing geographic target in Google Webmaster Tools from United States to Malaysia. However, it was not when Ah Hong told me about Google’s ‘Panda’ Update on 12 April 2011 globally. Google’s ‘Panda’ Update started to take effect on US search result on 24 February 2011.

JayceOoi.com latest traffic stats
JayceOoi.com traffic got hit from Google’s ‘Panda’ Update on 24 February 2011 and 12 April 2011 again. Around 25% in total. So I have to work 25% harder to get more traffic from Google search engine. Surprisingly, my another 2 blogs ~ spBlogger.com and PrettyGirl2u.com are not affected at all with this update. Maybe they are higher-quality sites than JayceOoi.com.
I changed back geographic target in Google Webmaster Tools to United States for JayceOoi.com in February. But I did not see much increase in traffic. I guessed that it needs to take sometimes to see the effect but I was wrong again. So what should I do? No, I won’t stop here and do nothing. I will start looking to improve my blog to match to Google latest ‘Panda’ algorithm. I will win back all the traffic that I lost.
By the way, I did some keyword testings on Bing and Yahoo. Haha… My blog actually rank higher on those two compare to Google. And I do notice that some ‘spam’ websites which stole my content actually rank higher than mine. Err…
By the way, do you like Google’s ‘Panda’ Update?
Yeah… spBlogger.com was featured at Innit by Nuffnang again. The last featured that I know was in year 2008 with Advertlets.com – Beware of this online advertising company post. I don’t have a team or lot of friends in Innit by Nuffnang. So getting featured is quite hard for me. Anyway, I prefer organic traffic ~ search engine with the help of SEO. The traffic from search engine is stable and consistent. But no harm to get a spike from Innit by Nuffnang from time to time.

Err… I hate HostMonster Web Hosting. JayceOoi.com was offline for 2 hours today during lunch time. HostMonster support team was doing something to fix the issue. And don’t want to let me know the issue that they were fixing. But why sign up HostMonster Web Hosting then? Well… I have been using HostMonster Web Hosting for 2 years. I did face several downtimes. But there downtimes were less than 10 hours in 2 years (there might be some downtime that I am not aware).
