Nuffnang vs Innity

You must have read lot of Nuffnang vs Advertlets posts. However, you can’t read much about Nuffnang vs Innity. So far, I found one entry at Google during the time of writing this. Who will be the winner in the end? That’s the question that I wanted to know the answer since I started to publish Innity ads. By the way, Nuffnang is a blog advertising community while Innity is an online premium performance advertising network. Both of them are not exactly the same. This article covers the advertising revenue only. So all the advantages of Nuffnang freebie like movie ticket, gathering events and Innit Nuffnang will not be included. Okay, let’s the battle of these 2 titans begin.

Site Requirements
The first thing before publish ad for any company, you need to fulfill their requirements. Only JayceOoi.com qualified to publish Innity ads while spBlogger.com and PrettyGirl2u.com failed. On the other hand, Nuffnang accepted all 3 of them. Nuffnang requires minimum 600 unique visitors per month. Innity requires minimum 3,000 unique visitors and 15,000 Pageviews per month, quality content and updated frequently.

Ad System
Nuffnang has 3 ad types (Leaderboard, large rectangle and skyscraper) while Innity has a lot like site take over, bottom up, in-text, balloon, button banner… Both of them support CPM and CPC ads while Innity has extra CPE and CPA. In Nuffnang, you have the ability to select what type of ads to display. Choose to display charity ads, default ads, global CPC ads or minimize ads when there is no CPM campaign running. Innity has better ad system ~ Alternate Ad Management which allow you to publish other advertising company ads like Google AdSense, ADSDAQ as backup when there are no campaign assigned. You can also reject those low paying rate campaigns with Innity latest Manage Campaign function. Nuffnang lost this section because it will still display a small ‘ads by nuffnang’ image when no campaign assigned.

Payment
Yeah… Everyone loves payment time. Both of Nuffnang and Innity have RM50 minimum cash out limit and paid within 30 days (note – 30 days for Nuffnang Glitterati bloggers while 60 days for ordinary bloggers). Both of them pay in cheque while you can get direct bank in payment from Innity. Nuffnang charges RM 1 transaction fee on each cash out. And you need to request cash out manually while Innity in auto mode. I received lot of payments from Nuffnang and none of them delay but the first Innity payment delayed. Too bad that Innity delayed the 1st payment. Not sure 2nd payment will be delayed again or not. Else I have a clear winner.

Got a question to ask? But nobody answer it? I faced slow response from Innity. But their support improves from time to time. No issue from Nuffnang so far.

Revenue
The most important part of this article ~ advertising revenue. Based on my past 3 months Internet income, Innity bought RM1222.25 while Nuffnang gave me RM1044.21. Note – Innity income comes from 1 blog only while Nuffnang from 3 blogs. And JayceOoi.com contributes 85% traffic among total 3 of them. Therefore, you need to minus 15% out of Nuffnang revenue in order to compare fairly with Innity. Clearly, you should know who is the winner here…

Things to know
I am a Glitterati status blogger for more than 2 years and still am on the time of writing this. Nuffnang revenue will be lowered more than 125% for ordinary status. As Glitterati status blogger, you get higher pay rate and will be assigned more campaign. Nuffnang assigns campaign based on individual blog (if not mistaken). Therefore, some low traffic/visible blogs will not be assigned any campaign to run. As for Innity, JayceOoi.com is categorized as technology channel. Innity assigns campaign based on channel. So you will get the same campaigns assigned if you are in the same channel. No need to worry no campaign assigned.

Conclusion
Innity is the winner. The revenue speaks for itself. As I mention before, this article cover advertising revenue only. Nuffnang community is big and has lot of blogger events. But Innity bring more revenue. Which one should I choose? I leave the question for you to answer. ;)

I started publish Innity Ads since August 2009. Between these times, I always wanted to ask Innity team to stop showing CPC ads on my blog. But did not request in the end. With this new feature ~ Manage Campaign, I can reject any campaign that I don’t like. Yeah… You know what I am going to do? Hehe… Yup. Reject CPC and CPE ads is the first time that I will do. And reject those low paying CPM ads too. Will keep those high paying campaigns only… :)

Questions and Answers

Yeah… It is time for questions and answers. I got several questions regarding make money online. I think it is better to share with all of you.

1. How do you know the Innity ads whether it’s CPM or CPC running on your blog?
Nope. Innity report does not show the type of ads that running on your blog. Innity team will send you email when there is a campaign running on your blog. It maybe CPC, CPM, Site Take Over and others.

2. I found that when I put Nuffnang ads as backup ads in ADSDAQ, the preview is getting some error. The error message say make sure your blog ads is putting correctly. Or because I don’t get any Nuffnang ads while preview.
Make sure you put the correct Nuffnang ad code. For your info, Nuffnang ads only work on the domain that you register with Nuffnang. Therefore, it is okay to see “Error matching blog to blogger entry. If you are the owner of this blog, please check that there is no typo in your blog address and that you have pasted the code from the Add Ads page correctly.” error like below.

3. ADSDAQ, I put the AskPrice for 728X90 = $1.50, and 300X250 = $1.50. Is it too high or too low?
There is no right and wrong on how much AskPrice to set. Personally, $1.50 is the minimum that I set. Some ads are $3.00 and $5.00 for the best Google AdSense spot ~ Large rectangle (Just below article title). ADSDAQ earning depends on US traffic. More US traffic == more revenue.

Innity Performance Network Revisited

My first Innity Performance Network review mentioned the revenue was low. And I stopped using it after 2 weeks. Then, I received some emails ~ Performance Campaigns that most of them are CPC and only 1 CPM. So I decided to have Innity ads to run for 1 month.

As you can see, the Innity revenue was very low at RM3.00 per day in first 2 weeks. And then spiked up to RM20.00 per day. Finally dropped again during end of September. Well, here is the explanation. There are only CPC ads running in first 2 weeks. As I mentioned before, image CPC click rate was extremely low ~ 0.1%. And I don’t like it. Then RM20.00 per day was caused by the CPM ad. Yeah… That’s a very high price CPM ad ~ priced at RM10++ CPM but with frequency cap. It was scheduled to run for 41 days but ran out of limit within 14 days. Innity ad inventory is low. There were only 3-5 CPC ads and 1 CPM ad ran on September.

Overall, Innity does bring revenue but not in a consistent way. If no more CPM ad running, I will take out Innity Ad codes because image CPC click rate really LOW. I prefer steady revenue. ;)

ADSDAQ on turbo mode

Yeah… ADSDAQ is on turbo mode. Huh? What is turbo mode? Oh, I mean the ADSDAQ revenue increase a lot lately. I received an email from ADSDAQ stated that lots of new advertisers on ADSDAQ network on Q4 2009. This mean more revenue for publishers.

First 2 days earning on October

Wow… USD 14.00 for the first 2 days of October. This is great. I got around 3-5% fill rate normally. And it increased to 10% fill rate right now. If this continues until end of month, ADSDAQ earning will be more than double.

So what are you waiting for? Get more traffic for your website. I am also in turbo mode now. :D
