Lot of people is connected through Facebook. I saw my ex-colleagues playing Facebook games during office hour last time. And social networking with it. They can’t live without Facebook. So it is good to use Facebook as a marketing tool for your blog. By creating Facebook Pages and Facebook Like Box, you can earn some of the traffics from Facebook.

  1. Visit Facebook Pages creation page- here.
  2. Click on ‘Create a Page’.
  3. Select one of them – Local business, Brand, product, or organization and Artist, band, or public figure.
  4. Enter your page name.
  5. Check ‘I’m the official representative of this person, business, band or product and have permission to create this Page’.
  6. Finally, click on ‘Create Official Page’.

Yup, you have created your own Facebook Page. You need to upload a picture and put some information about your page. And you are done. Let’s go to the next step…

How to create Facebook Like Box?

  1. Visit Like Box creation page – here.
  2. Put in your Facebook Page ID there.
  3. Select the box width that matches your blog layout.
  4. Enter how many connections to show with Facebook Like Box.
  5. Decide whether to show Stream and Header or not.
  6. Finally, click on ‘Get Code’.

You can select either iframe or XFBML code. Paste it at your blog theme sidebar or anywhere you want. I selected iframe for the moment as I don’t know much about JavaScript SDK. And I also edit height in the code. Well, you are ready to do. And wish you luck on getting more visitors.

Facebook? If you still don’t know what is Facebook. You are totally out of this Internet world. Facebook is so famous that almost everyone connected will have 1 account there. I created my Facebook account last year but inactive until lately. I was using Friendster back in 3-4 years ago. Should switch to Facebook sooner. Anyway, it is still not too late.

Hmm… I am not sure why that my blog RSS does not working at Facebook since August. Oh well, I have to add them back again. So if you want to add your blog RSS feed to Facebook, just follow below steps…

Import RSS feed to Facebook ~ My notes

  1. Login to Facebook first of course.
  2. Click on Applications.
  3. Then select Note. It will bring you to Notes page.
  4. At Note Setting, select “Import a Blog” or “Edit Import Settings” link. Note – You can only import 1 blog RSS at a time.
  5. Key in your blog RSS address at Web URL column.
  6. Accept the user agreement by checking the box below.
  7. Click the Start Importing button.
  8. Preview it and click the Confirm Import button to start import.
  9. You are done.
